Top issues during term (6)(General)
city manager retirement
Who knows how much this transition will cost the city, but it's a big deal!
tree protection ordinance
You might have to pay fees or get permits for tree work, depending on the project size.
discrimination complaint
Taxpayers could end up footing the bill if these complaints turn into costly lawsuits or trigger mandatory diversity training.
tenant rights
This could save renters money on repairs they'd otherwise have to pay for themselves.
billboard ban
Advertisers will have to find new ways to reach Sherman residents, and billboard companies lose out on potential new revenue.
animal sales ordinance
This could mean higher costs for pet stores and breeders, which might trickle down to you, the pet buyer.
